Angelo Nunez and wife Cary Williams-Nunez opened the first Prime Time Boxing in 1998. This new, 45 minute fitness concept combined cardiovascular conditioning, boxing technique and some strength training within a safe, effective, progressive and systematic program. Realizing that people really enjoyed the personalized, small group training, Angelo and Cary kept their class/camp sizes small. This allowed Prime Time Boxing to know every members name and yell it out as soon as that member walked through the door.

Today, founders Angelo and Cary are considered the innovators of the boxing camp workout and bringing boxing classes to traditional boxing gyms. Prime Time Boxing was first talked about in Shape magazine and Fitness magazine back in 1998 and 1999 about the difference between Tae Bo and the Prime Time Boxing workout. Since then, they have been written about and featured in national media and press including, Entrepreneur, USA Today, New York Times, Men's Fitness, FHM, Muscle & Fitness HERS, Oxygen, and many television and radio segments. As they say, "Image is everything" and Prime Time Boxing already has one hell of an image! Click Here for a more detailed bio on the founders.

Join this dynamic duo in their mission to make the Prime Time Boxing program the preferred choice for all boxing/fitness training across the nation and the world!

Cary Williams-Nunez and Angelo Nunez founded PRIME TIME BOXING, INC. in 1998 and also created Prime Time Youth Activities Center, a non-profit organization that offers scholarship programs to pay for the training, equipment and travel expense of disadvantaged children.

Their boxing programs have been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC and FOX as well as in national publications such as Shape, Energy, Fitness, Franchise Times, Entrepreneur, Inc., USA Today and The New York Times.

Cary has over 15 years experience in the boxing and fitness industry. In her amateur boxing career, Cary won The Pacific Northwest Women’s Open Tournament in the 125 pound division. Cary has been featured in Shape, Energy, Oxygen, Best Body, Men’s Fitness, Energy, Fitness and FHM. She also graced the cover of Muscle & Fitness HERS. Cary currently contributes to SHEKNOW.COM, EHOW.COM AND LIVESTRONG.COM, was a fitness columnist for the Sacramento Bee and has been a guest on many radio shows and television shows, including BETTER.TV as a boxing and fitness expert. She is currently doing a weekly fitness segment for UNIVISION. Cary has appeared on the popular NBC reality show, Fear Factor. Because of her involvement in young women’s sports, Cary was also recognized by The California Legislature along with Brandi Chastain and several other women in sports for her contribution and impact on girl’s sports.

Angelo started boxing at the age of 8 and boxed in the amateurs until the age of 20. He won national tournaments and even had a shot at the Olympic Trial but his father pushed him to turn pro. In Angelo’s pro career he fought great champions such as Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr. He was also Oscar’s main sparring partner for two of his championship titles as well as an advisor to the De La Hoya camp in Big Bear CA for two years. Because Angelo was pushed away from the amateurs by his father, he is a firm believer in keeping our boxers in the amateurs long enough to make a strong Olympic team.

Angelo is the creator of the boxing program at all Prime Time Boxing locations and is constantly asked to advise many other clubs on their programming. The program he has created surpasses that of any boxing club and/or fitness center. He has been able to take true boxing and allow the average person to learn the sweet science in the most efficient way possible. His programming also includes regular updates on new combinations, conditioning methods and all that go into a true boxing workout.

Angelo has also been a guest on many sport radio shows as an expert in boxing and continues to be requested for such venues.

Angelo and Cary are Elite Coaches and Level IV Olympic Coaches and were selected by USA Boxing to certify trainers as LEVEL I and Level II USA Boxing coaches. They have been certifying boxing coaches for USA Boxing since 2001.

As coaches, they have trained and been in the corner of many boxers for national tournaments, such as the Golden Gloves, the Junior Olympics, the Silver Gloves, the National PAL, USA Nationals and many local shows. They created and hosted “Boxing 101” and “Additional Fundamentals”, unique boxing instructional and workout DVDs.

As spokespeople and advisors for Everlast Worldwide, they have conducted demonstrations at trade shows such as Magic and the SGMA in Las Vegas and assisted with new equipment design. With Everlast, they also created a boxing class format for 24 Hour group fitness called Everlast Shadowbox. This class launched across the nation in spring 2008.

Next, this dynamic duo will be heading across the country in spring of 2011 on the Knocking Out Obesity Tour. They will “hit” 10 of the fattest cities in the nation (according to Men’s Fitness) where they will stop at one middle school in each city. While at each school they will conduct the student’s PE program for the day with a non-contact boxing workout. Everlast will be providing the equipment at each school and Subway will be providing healthy lunches to the students each day.
